    Registrations for Admissions during the session 2008-2009 will be open from 15-02-08 as per the following schedule. The admissions are open to all categories of applicants including non-central government employees (Subject to priorities).

NOTE:

  1. If the number of applicants for Admission to Class l is greater than the available  vacancies, then priority will be decided as follows:

    a. There will be no written test for admission to Class Ist.
    b. For Category I applicants the rank in the master list will be decided by the number of transfers of the parent in the last seven years (1.4.2000 to 31.3.2007) involving change of station and moving with the family to the new station. The change of station and moving with the family must be certified by the competent officer as mentioned in the registration form. When a stage is reached that the list of one category/sub-category cannot be fully accommodated for admission, the list will be decided through the draw of lots.
    c. For other categories (Category II to VIII) the master list will be decided through draw of lots as per KVS instructions at 14-00 P.M on 03.02.2005 and 23.03.2005. Parents may attend the draw of lots.
  2. Parents are advised to see the Vidyalaya Notice Board for information regarding the Master list / Provisionally Selected List. Etc. on the dates mentioned above. No separate intimation will be sent individually.
  3. Parents are required to be present with the candidate for clarifications and finalization of admission on the Interview / Admission dates as per the schedule above.
  4. The admissions to Class I will be done in two stages. The first list (for 30 seats per section) will be based on registrations upto 10.03.2008. The Second list (for 5 seats per section) will be based on the registrations upto 20.03.2008.
  5. There may be only limited vacancies in Classes II to IX. The Vidyalaya may not conduct Admission Tests in case there are no vacancies. if any Vacancies means it will be declared on 01.04.2008 at 10.00hrs.
PRIORITIES FOR ADMISSION
  1. Children of employees of the CPCRl Institute which finances fully to the Kendriya Vidyalaya.
  2. Children of transferable central government employees including ex-service men.
  3. Children of non-transferable central government employees including ex-service men.
  4. Children of transferable and non-transferable employees of Autonomous Bodies, Public Sector Undertakings and Institutions of Higher Learning of the Government of India.
  5. Children of transferable state government employees.
  6. Children of non-transferable state Government employees.
  7. Children of transferable and non-transferable employees of Autonomous Bodies, Public Sector Undertakings and Institutions of Higher Learning of the State Government.
  8. Children from any other category.
NOTE:
  1. To be considered transferable the parent should have had at least one transfer during the period from 1.4.2000 to 31.03.2007 which involves change of station and moving with family to the new station.
  2. Applicants residing outside Kasaragod cannot be placed in any category in Kasaragod unless one of the parents resides in Kasaragod.
  3. The movement of defense personnel to the place of final settlement on retirement will be counted as a transfer.
RESERVATIONS
  15% for SC, 7.5 % for ST in all fresh admissions and 3% horizontal reservation for Physically Handicapped. In the event of these quotas remaining unfilled, the seats will be reserved.
