THINKING DAY CELEBRATION

The Thinking Day was celebrated on 21st Feb. 2009 in our Vidyalaya on this day all Scout, Guide, Cub & Bulbul students came in their Uniform and they conducted the assembly programme. In the assembly all faith prayer and Introduction of Mr. B. Powell was the special programme. After assembly all scout, guide, cub & bulbul students assembled in the ground for Scout Flag Hosting after that we have conducted same competition for the students like Group Song, Rangoli, Skit role play, Salad, Smelling test etc. after competition at 12.15 pm we Flag breaked and then distributed the Prize & Refercement to the scout, guide, cub, bulbul students for more information click on Scout & Guides link

SCIENCE DAY CELEBRATION

Science Day was celebrated in the Vidyalaya on 28th Feb. 2009. A speech on Sir C.V. Raman and Charles Durain was presented in the assembly. This was followed by a quiz on general science. On the same day two students of our Vidyalaya Vanditha Shetty of class XI and Pratheek B. of class IX participated in the interschool Science Quiz Competition conducted by the CPCRI in which 11 schools took part our Vidyalaya won the IInd position

NAEP (PTA MEETING)

A session for parents on parenting was held on 10th Feb. 2009 at 3.00pm at the KVK Hall of CPCRI, Kasaragod. the chief guest and the speaker was Shri V.L. Balasubramanyan, Principal, JNV, Periya, Kasaragod. The PTA members were also invited. The programme was conducted in connection with NAEP. Shri V.L. Balasubramanyan, spoke in details on teenage problems and suggests ways and means for better parenting so that the parents can build up the child’s confidence. for photos click on Activities Link

TALK ON CANCER

On 10TH Feb. 2009 a representative of the Cancer Patients’ Aids Society, Mrs. Pooja Nirgude (M.A.), Regional Coordinator, gave a talk in the assembly on Cancer and the roll of the society

TAEKURNDO COMPETITION

Certificates were distributed to the winners of Taekurndo Competition

DISTRICT LEVEL TABLE TENNIS COMPETITION

Three students from classes V, VII & VIII participated in the District Level Table Tennis competition. Two of the students stand first and one stand in the third position.

UNDER ECO CLUB

In connection with the ECO CLUB activities in the Vidyalaya the students of VIII standard, under the guidance of Mrs. Sugeetha, PGT (Chemistry) visited to Vani Nagar Govt. Higher Secondary School, Kasaragod. They interacted with the ENDOSULFAN affected children in the school and collected the necessary information

CELEBRATION OF 60TH REPUBLIC DAY & ECO CLUB

On 26th Jan 2009 – 60th Republic Day was celebrated very grandly in the Vidyalaya. An Exhibition of SUPW exhibits in the Vidyalaya inaugurated by Mr. Thamban, a senior scientist of CPCRI. After viewing the exhibition the students of the Vidyalaya conducted a rally in order to spread awareness among the people about the dangerous consequences of excessive use of plastics. The rally was led by the Principal Mrs. M.A. Suhara parents also joined in. The students carrying placards marched till chowki spiriting slogan. An ottamthullal artist (Traditional art form of Kerala) in his traditional costume accompanied the rally
